風雲 lit. "Wind and Clouds".
Third ship in the Yuugumo-class destroyers.
Kazagumo has an aggressive, but disciplined and precise personality.
Kazagumo has long light brown hair in a ponytail tied off with a hair ribbon. She has silver eyes in tsurime style. She wears standard Yuugumo-class clothing, involving a magenta sleeveless dress, white shirt, cyan necktie, grey pantyhose and lace-up boots. Damage reveals she wears a sky blue and cloud-patterned camisole underneath.
In her combat gear, she carries a wrist-mounted twin-cannon turret, twin torpedo turrets strapped to her thighs, and a backpack-like mounting of her smokestack and mast.
Kazagumo is the fourth of her class to gain a second remodel, receiving hers on February 8, 2019. She wears the winter version of the Kai-Ni-Yuugumo-class uniform, consisting of a short grey blazer over the dress which now has a sheer black underskirt. Her pantyhose has also been reduced to thighhighs in the same seamed style. Because she wears a necktie on her base form rather than a large bowtie like her sisters do, she accordingly switches to an ascot to match her remodel. On her damaged CG, one can still see a camisole undernath, implying she does not gain even a slightly larger bustline with the remodel, unlike even Makigumo who now wears a bra on remodel.
Historically, she had a short but eventful run, only being completed in early 1942, and beginning her war record at Midway, rescuing the survivors of the doomed carrier force. She performed several troop delivery missions, rescued the survivors of the Kinugasa, and participated in the evacuation at Kiska Island. She was sunk in June of 1944 from the USS Hake, a Gato-class submarine, and 133 of her crew were rescued by the Asagumo.
